Pursuing the Power of Pentecost...

"I felt the power of God while I was still in the parking lot." "I

could tell there was something different about this church as

soon as I walked through the doors." "You can feel the

presence of God in this place like no other church I've

attended." These are all comments made by various

visitors to our church in the past year. We do not consider

ourselves to be spiritually elevated above others; we only

know that we possess a deep hunger for the power of God

to move among His people. While many other churches

have had this power in the past, it is no secret that most

have lost that awesome power and presence of God that,

when surrendered to, will bring a complete change and

renewal to lives.

What many fail to realize is that it is simply impossible to

maintain the power of God in a church without a group of

people who are willing to sacrifice and surrender all to the

One who gives the power. If you are seeking a church that

is different, and people whose greatest desire is to make a

difference, then Haven of HOPE is for you. From the

moment you walk through our doors, it is our desire that

you will hear a difference, see a difference and feel a

difference. No matter where you've come from or what

you've done, we welcome you.

Haven of HOPE is made up of

people...real people. Church

isn't suppose to be a show, a

pep rally or a contest; It's

about people. Without people

we would cease to exist.

Without people to minister and

to minister to, our church is

just another building in

Martinsburg.

Haven of HOPE desires, most

of all, to show that whatever

the heartache, whatever the

problem, Jesus is your

answer. In these troubling

times, you may feel

weariness, confusion and

despair overtaking your life.

We assure you that there is

Rest for your soul, a Rock for

you to lean on and a Shelter

from uncertainty and
